Dear friends and followers of my blog. It has been long time since the last times I have write anything. I am back, and I hope to keep it up! It is hard because of my busy schedule and some new projects.
I don’t like to write about a special topic but about my own feelings. With this entry, I like to thank for a great ending of 2011. It has been a long but a very fulfilling 2011 in a personal and professional level.
The year started with the visit of Joseph Alessi (Principal Trombone of New York Philharmonic). We had a great camp with him in Korea and we learned so much from him, not just as a trombonist, musician and an artist but also as a human. He was so giving; it really was a blessing having him in Korea.
I was proud of Students of The University of Suwon playing wind ensemble. They did in a very high level, and they showed our community that you could produce music and art at same level of a symphony orchestra but playing wind ensemble music.
I was so lucky to travel back to Brass Explsion of Singapore thanks to Fredi Sondereger and David Smith, and first time to Slider Asia Festival in Hong Kong. It was a great repeating experience in Singapore where I shared this experience with my dear teacher Scott Hartman and it was great to meet new friends in Hong Kong thanks to Stanley Chen.
Scott Hartman was so kind to join us in Daegu. We did an extraordinary camp where students were super happy. For me was very special to have Scott teach my students. I have learned so much from him; I have no letters to write to describe my feelings about it.
2 incredible persons came to this world, Ane and Aroa, my nieces. I hope to see them this coming February.
Going back to Boston after 4 years was another pick of the year. I had such a great opportunity playing recitals and teaching Master Classes at Yale University, Massachusetts University and Boston University thanks to Scott Hartman, Greg Spiridopoulos and Don Lucas. I saw my old friends and I had such a great time!!
After all, the ending was just supreme! I conducted Hwaseong Festival Orchestra and the president of The University of Suwon awarded me for my personal and professional development.
In 2011 a very good friend left this world. I lost some good friends and gain some new ones.
Again, I feel lucky and I think 2012 it can’t be better than 2011. I am sure it can be in a personal level but professional… I will really have to work very hard to do it better. Anyway, I will try.

Hace ya un tiempo que no escribo en mi Bolg. Es muy difícil encontrar el tiempo cuando se está super ocupado. Ha sido un año fantástico y con esta entrada al bolg, me gustaría hablar de lo que siento en estos días y así compartirlo con vosotros.
El año empezó con la visita a Corea de Joseph Alessi (Solista de trombón de la Orquesta Filarmónica de Nueva York). A parte de ser un trombonista, músico y artista reconocido mundialmente me impactó su generosidad y humanidad. Fue una experiencia maravillosa compartir el principio de año con él.
Estoy muy orgullos de los alumnos de la Universidad de Suwon. Demostraron que no por que toquen instrumentos de viento o de percusión son menos que una orquesta sinfónica. Trabajaron muy fuertemente e hicieron un conciertazo. El concierto de la Banda de la Universidad de Suwon fue un éxito.
Brass Explosion de Singapur me volvió a invitar a su festival donde siempre he tenido una experiencia maravillosa gracias a Fredi Sondereger y David Smith aunque este año fue algo más especial gracias a mi profesor Scott Hartman con quien compartí muy buenas experiencias. Por otra parte, Stanley Chen me invitó por primera vez a Hong Kong donde hice nuevos amigos y fueron momentos muy bonitos.
En Verano, mi profesor Scott Hartman vino a Corea a hacer un seminario en Daegu. Fue algo muy especial, ya que ver a mi profesor dar clases a mis estudiantes es algo especial, no tengo palabras para describir lo que se siente.
2 personas increíbles llegaron al mundo, mis sobrinas Ane y Aroa que las conoceré muy pronto!
Regresé a Boston después de 4 años, no solo a ver a mis queridos amigos de siempre, que me encantó volver a verlos, también tuve la increíble oportunidad de tocar recital y hacer Master Class en las universidades de Yale, Boston y Massachusetts gracias a Scott Hartman, Don Lucas y Greg Spiridopoulos.
El final de año no podía ser mejor ya que dirigí por primera vez como director artístico a Hwaseong Festival Orchestra y el presidente de la universidad de Suwon me premió por mi desarrollo personal y profesional.
En el 2011 algunos amigos se fueron para siempre de este mundo, perdí otros amigos ya gané otros nuevos.
Resumiendo, el 2011 fue algo impresionante y la verdad que aunque el 2012 pueda ser mejor que el 2011 en lo personal, creo que en lo profesional va a ser bastante difícil aunque trabajaré a tope para ello.
